ArmInfo. Russia continues to lose its position as a friendly state for Armenia. From 86% it dropped to 29.7%, according to a poll conducted by MPG "AntiPuzzle".
When asked to indicate which of the listed countries are friendly to Armenia (whose support can be counted on in difficult times) and which are unfriendly (relations with which are conflictual and threaten our country), the overwhelming majority named France as the most friendly, and Azerbaijan as unfriendly.
The countries were arranged according to the following chronology: 78.1% of respondents called France friendly, 12.2% neutral, 8.8% unfriendly, another 0.9% found it difficult to answer.
India was in second place in terms of friendliness - 68.5% think so, 21.2% called it neutral, 9.4% called it unfriendly, 0.9% found it difficult to answer.
Iran is considered friendly by 57.8% of respondents, 27.% - neutral, 13.4% - unfriendly, another 1.4% - found it difficult to answer. The United States was called a country friendly for Armenia by 41% of respondents, 37.1% - neutral, 19.8% - unfriendly, 2.1% - found it difficult to answer.
China also entered the top 5 friendly countries with a score of 35%, 46.4% called it neutral towards Armenia, 16.5% called it unfriendly, 2.1% found it difficult to answer. 34% of respondents in Armenia consider Georgia friendly, 41.9% called it neutral, 23.7% called it unfriendly, 0.5% found it difficult to answer.
Germany is considered friendly by 32.4%, neutral by 44.2%, unfriendly by 22.1%, and 2.3% found it difficult to answer.
Only 29.7% of respondents in the Republic of Armenia consider Russia friendly, 26.2% - neutral, 43% - unfriendly, 1.1% found it difficult to answer.
Great Britain is considered friendly in Armenia by 17% of respondents, neutral by 43%, unfriendly by 36.2%, and another 3.8% found it difficult to answer.
Kazakhstan is considered friendly by 13% of respondents, 46.5% - neutral, unfriendly - 36.1%, another 4.5% found it difficult to answer.
Another 12.7% of respondents consider Ukraine friendly, 34.9% - neutral, 51.1% - unfriendly, 1.3% - found it difficult to answer.
At the same time, 93.2% of respondents called Turkey unfriendly for Armenia, 5.8% called it neutral, another 0.8% called it friendly, 0.2% found it difficult to answer. According to respondents, the most unfriendly is Azerbaijan. 98.5% of respondents think so, 1.1% - neutral, 0.3% - friendly, 0.1% - found it difficult to answer.
According to the graph from 2015, Russia, which was then considered friendly by 86% of Armenian respondents, by 2024 had slipped to 29.7%.
Over the past 9 years, France and India have radically improved their performance. France grew from 30% to 78.1%, and India from 2% to 68.5%.
The survey also included a question about political prisoners in Armenia. In response to the corresponding question, 54% of respondents stated that there are prisoners of conscience in the country. When asked to name someone, 47.5% named the name of RPA deputy chairman Armen Ashotyan, 26.1% - the elected mayor of Vanadzor Mamikon Aslanyan, another 12.1% - activist Narke Samsonyan. It is noteworthy that more than 34% found it difficult to answer this question.
It should be noted that the survey was conducted through telephone calls to residents of the Republic of Armenia from March 27 to March 29 of this year, the sample size was 1101, the sampling error was +/- 3%.
