ArmInfo. The Ministry of Defense of Armenia commented on the news spread in various media sources and social networks about the dissolution of the "Corners of Glory" in the army. Thus, the Ministry of Defense assured that the spread information is distorted.
"In recent days, some media sources and social network users have presented distorted, false information that "Glory Corners" are allegedly being dismantled in military units of the Ministry of Defense, and photographs of military heroes being removed and will not be placed again.
In this regard, the Ministry of Defense reports that the relevant functional unit of the General Staff of the Armed Forces is carrying out repair work in the information and leisure rooms of all military units, including printed materials, since they wear out over time.
A number of works are being carried out to update, restore printing materials and replenish them thematically, and in the "Corners of Glory" - work on stylistic modernization," the Armenian Defense Ministry assured.
Time will tell to what extent the assurances of the Armenian Ministry of Defense correspond to reality. But, as a rule, there is no smoke without fire. As practice shows, under the "sauce" of modernization and restoration of this kind, corners are either completely eliminated or only a small proportion of them are preserved.
