ArmInfo. The Azerbaijani authorities intend to "Albanize" another Armenian religious site - this time the Armenian Church of Surb Harutyun in occupied Hadrut.
According to the Council for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Artsakh, this became known from the presented master plan for the occupied Artsakh city of Hadrut.
"It is planned to carry out archaeological excavations on the territory of the church, after which the church will be "restored". A museum of Albanian culture will be organized in the temple," the message says.
Let us note that in the spring of this year it became known about vandalism committed in the temple. Thus, the Azerbaijanis dismantled the crosses from the church and erased all the inscriptions in Armenian.
Let us add that after the occupation of Artsakh, Azerbaijan began to destroy Armenian traces on this primordially Armenian land.
