ArmInfo. Cooperation with the ruling party Civil Contract is the "redline" for the Country of Life party, Mane Tandilyan, Chairperson of the party, told reporters.
She added that the party does not see any grounds for cooperation with the "former", but for the forces committed to the idea of developing Armenia and Yerevan, who share the visions of the "Country for Life", the party will be open to discussing areas of interaction. Tandilyan noted that taking into account the constant attacks on the opposition by representatives of the ruling power, it can be concluded that the "Civil Contract" is seriously afraid for its positions. "My only appeal is not to cross the 'red lines'," the oppositionist said.
Speaking about Artsakh, she noted that in the name of its future, the opposition intends to carry out a change of power in Armenia. Tandilyan noted that a strong Armenia is needed for a strong Artsakh. The solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue should not be considered in the short term, it is necessary to work daily on its solution in order to obtain the desired result years later. "For this, it is very important to close all the doors behind which the internationally recognized right of the people of Artsakh to self- determination is called into question.
When it comes to lowering the status of Artsakh, the question arises: what are you negotiating about then? If these problems had been dealt with three years ago, today there would not be the situation that the peoples of Artsakh and Armenia faced," Tandilyan said.
The "Country for Life" party is participating in the elections to the Council of Elders of Yerevan, which will be held on September 17. The voters of the capital of Armenia will elect 65 members of the Council of Elders, who, in turn, will elect the mayor of Yerevan.
