On August 22, through the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross, 7 residents of Artsakh were transported, together with their accompanying persons, to medical centers in Armenia to receive urgent medical care. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Artsakh.
In addition, according to the source, during the day it is planned to return to Artsakh 7 patients, along with their accompanying persons, who were previously sent to Armenia for treatment under the state order, by ICRC cars.
The Azerbaijani side is blocking the delivery of much-needed medicines and medical supplies to Artsakh. Currently, 28 children are receiving inpatient treatment at the Arevik Medical Center, 4 of them are in the neonatology and intensive care unit. In CJSC "Republican Medical Center" 85 patients are being treated in hospital, 3 of which are in the intensive care unit, two of them are in critical condition.
