Law enforcement officers detained the driver of a Hummer, who spread lawlessness in the center of Yerevan on February 10, on suspicion of hooliganism, possession of drugs, obstruction of official activities and intentional damage to property. This was reported by the press service of the RA Investigative Committee.
According to the investigation, the Hummer was driven by a resident of the Ararat region, citizen G.S., born in 1997, who took the car from his father without permission, headed to Yerevan in a state of drug intoxication, and demanded money from the police officers to refuel his car.
Having been refused, G.S. headed in the opposite lane, disobeying the requirements of law enforcement officers, deliberately damaging 11 cars in the parking lot, of which 3 were patrol cars.
Law enforcement officers were forced to shoot at the wheels to stop the offender, but the latter managed to escape. On February 11, at 01:40, a resident of Ararat region was taken into custody, and as a result of the search, 1.9 grams of a substance similar to methamphetamine was found in his possession
