Under the education development programme, 90% of graduates of specialized secondary schools are expected to work in their respective fields by 2030, Armenia's Deputy Minister of Education and Science Zhanna Andreasyan stated at a forum on education system development and education quality assurance by specialized secondary schools held at the American University of Armenia (AUA) on the initiative of the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance Foundation (ANQA).
The participants focused on establishment of cooperation between employers and schools, career guidance and so on.
Lana Karlova, Coordinator, Erasmus+ office in Armenia, reported that Erasmus+ will allocate funds to specialized secondary schools to develop their potential up to the year 2027.
From 2014 to 2020, Erasmus+ has implemented 30 programmes in Armenia, which allowed Armenian universities to participate in various programmes along with European higher schools.
Early this year, Ms Andreasyan pointed out a need for revising the education criteria in colleges and specialized schools, cooperation with the private sector, and so on.
