ArmInfo. Despite a recorded increase in coronavirus cases, the situation in Armenia is under control. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a government meeting on April 2, referring to the identification of 92 new cases of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister noted that in Armenia, in connection with the spread of coronavirus, the population has two extremes: panic and total calm. On the one hand, the operational response measures to the coronavirus were able to prevent the growth of panic moods. However, in this regard, as Pashinyan noted, an atmosphere of total calm reigned in the country. "From a socio-psychological point of view, this is good, but from an epidemiological point of view it is bad, as it creates a risk of an increase in the rate of incidence," Pashinyan said.
In this regard, the prime minister once again urged citizens to be vigilant and follow all the recommendations of the Ministry of Health. Pashinyan also pointed out that 80% of patients identified in Armenia with coronaviruses do not have high temperature, and in fact do not receive no cure. However, they are all isolated to prevent distribution of COVID-19. An important factor in prevention coronavirus is also an increase in ongoing tests. As the prime minister noted, this allows us to identify the maximum possible number of virus carriers and take all necessary measures to further monitor the situation.
We add that according to the latest data in Armenia, the total number of registered patients with coronavirus was 663, 33 recovered, four died. To date, 626 citizens receive actual treatment.
