ArmInfo.RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Arayik Harutyunyan called for assistance to students who do not have the technical means to participate in distance education.
<One of the biggest problems in organizing distance education at the moment is the lack of devices among about 10% of students and teachers. At the moment, we are talking about a shortage of at least 21 thousand devices (computers, tablets, smartphones).
We have addressed this issue and are turning to many organizations and individuals, and we already have results. Starting from March 29, from 10:00 to 6:00pm (10: 00-3: 00pm - for organizations, 3: 00-6: 00 - for individuals), an office will open in the territory of Khachik Dashtenets High School 114 in Yerevan for receiving appropriate devices. It is also very important that the devices comply with the minimum standards, which can be found at https://bit.ly/2wGE4V4>, the minister wrote on his Facebook page.
To recall, distance education was introduced in educational institutions in connection with the situation with coronavirus.
