ArmInfo.Head of the Prosperous Armenia party Gagik Tsarukyan decided to clarify his position after his scandalous statement that the state should pay wages to non-working citizens of Armenia in the emergency situation.
To recall, on March 23, in an interview with reporters, Tsarukyan, answering a question about paying salaries to his employees after the declaration of an emergency situation, answered: <Why should I pay the salary? The state declared a state of emergency in the country, and let it will pay the salary of its non-working citizens>. Responding to a comment that during forced leave, whether the owner of the company should not pay salaries to his employees, he said that the decision on the forced unsubscription was made not by him, but by the state. "Therefore, all responsibility and obligations lie with the state," the PAP head concluded.
On March 25, during a meeting of the Prosperous Armenia faction, Tsarukyan noted that he only voiced his thoughts and position. <I voiced the thought and the position, and I will not change my position>," he said, adding that what he said was incorrectly interpreted.
The head of the party also called for assistance to citizens with daily wages, noting that the number of such families is 200 thousand. In his opinion, they and other working citizens who lost their daily earnings due to the current situation (taxi drivers, service workers ) it is worth paying at least 70 thousand drams per month. In addition, according to Tsarukyan, banks should take into account current realities and cancel creditors' obligations for three months.
