ArmInfo. The armedu.am portal has been created on the website of the National Center for Educational Technologies, where you can find information about such educational platforms, as well as develop programs for distance education and retrain teachers. Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan announced this during a March 18 press conference.
In particular, he recalled that in Armenia, the introduction of distance education in the framework of the pilot program was planned, according to the decision of the government, in December 2021. However, a month earlier, legislation was amended regarding distance education. Thus, according to Harutyunyan, it became possible to launch this pilot program earlier, for which, moreover, the legal basis has already been created. <Unfortunately, we can't provide all the conditions, therefore we urge school principals, teachers, students and their parents to help in the process of successful implementation of the pilot project. This will raise all educational processes to another level. In addition, the current situation will create an additional opportunity for the development of new educational technologies>, the minister said.
To recall, on March 16the Government of Armenia, in order to prevent the threat of the spread of coronavirus, decided to impose a state of emergency throughout the country from 18:30 on March 16 to 17:00 on April 14. All schools and universities have stopped working.
