The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, based on the current situation with coronavirus and with the goal of online organization of the educational process in secondary schools, launches the distance education platform heravar.armedu.am. This was reported by the press service of the ministry.
Deputy Minister Zhanna Andreasyan held a working discussion, which was attended by representatives of MONKS and educational institutions and platforms that have the potential to organize distance learning. This year, the Ministry has already tested the possibility of introducing distance education in two schools, and now all schools will be involved in the process.
According to Andreasyan, over the past two days, preparatory work has been carried out at the National Center for Educational Technologies, and a distance education page has been launched, where it is planned to systematically present a list of all the schools of the republic, including teachers and students. On this single platform, distance learning platforms of all organizations that are ready to cooperate with MONKS will be presented.

In the near future, all schools will be provided with the data of mentors teachers who have undergone retraining, who will provide online retraining and provide technical support and guidance for teachers.
