ArmInfo. In the framework of the criminal case investigated by the RA Special Investigation Service, former security adviser of the Ministry of Healthcare of Armenia, head of the relevant unit of the National Security Service, A. M. was charged under part 1 of article 309 of the RA Criminal Code.
According to the press service of the SIS, A.M., occupying the post of security adviser to the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Armenia in 2005-2018, established close ties with the director of the medical center A.M. Having learned from the latter about dissatisfaction with the work of the deputy director for financial affairs S. O., he offered his services in removing him from work. In February 2019 A.M. told the director of the Medical Center that the Ministry of Healthcare intends to reduce the allocation of state orders for the hospital, and that in order to resolve this issue S.O. must give a bribe to the Deputy Minister of Healthcare Arsen Davtyan. A. M. assured that in this case against S.O. and Arsen Davtyan will be prosecuted, and as a result, the director of the medical center will be able to receive part of the hospital's shares owned by S.O. These shares are A.M. invited the director to divide equally.
On March 18, 2019, the director called S.O. and offered to bribe Arsen Davtyan, but the latter was already informed about the agreement between the director and A.M., and refused. Against an accused, a preventive measure was chosen as a recognizance not to leave. In addition, his tenure in the structure of the NSS was temporarily suspended. A preliminary investigation is ongoing. To recall, Arsen Davtyan was relieved of his post as deputy minister after he was charged with receiving a bribe from the director of the "Republican Maternity Hospital" for assisting in the distribution of state orders.
