ArmInfo.The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Stef Blok handed over the official statement on the opening of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Yerevan to the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan. This is stated in the official statement of the RA MFA.
According to the source, in this regard, Minister Zohrabyan expressed gratitude to the House of Representatives of the Netherlands for the decision to open a diplomatic mission in Armenia.
<We are witnesses to the positive dynamics of our relationship. We have a fairly good bilateral agenda, which includes various areas. In addition, good indicators were recorded in the trade and economic fields, and in terms of political dialogue. Armenia is ready to form a platform for close cooperation between our societies, peoples in various fields, in particular in trade, economy, culture and science, "said Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.
In turn, Stef Blok, noting that it was a great honor and joy for him to be the first foreign minister of the Netherlands to visit Armenia, emphasized: "We are extremely interested in the events taking place here and attach great importance to the progress that we have seen over the past years."
According to the source, the ministers expressed satisfaction with the high level of political dialogue between Armenia and the Netherlands, while emphasizing the importance of steps aimed at further strengthening them, including through consultations between the foreign ministries and the organization of high-level mutual visits.
In the context of trade and economic cooperation, the interlocutors outlined the steps for the full use of the existing high potential. The priority areas were education, high technology, tourism, agriculture and the banking sector.
During the meeting, a number of issues of international and regional significance were also raised. Minister Mnatsakanyan presented to Stef Blok the situation around the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the principled position and approaches of Armenia in the process of its exclusively peaceful settlement.
