ArmInfo. The decisions of the Public Council have no legal force, our task is to interest the government in a particular proposal. Chairman of the Public Council of Armenia Styopa Safaryan announced this on January 13 in an  interview with ArmInfo correspondent.

He noted that now the possibility of involving representatives of the  business sector in the Public Council is being discussed so that all  interesting initiatives are presented to the Armenian government. "It  seems to me that we should do everything possible so that all  interesting and promising programs in all areas are presented to our  government, and for this, as you understand, it is necessary to  involve people who are representatives of a particular sector in the  Public Council," Safaryan stressed.

During the press conference, the head of the Public Council said that  in the New Year, the structure headed by him faces a number of tasks  that need to be implemented. In particular, he noted that there is a  need to recruit new people to the Public Council. "At the moment, we  have a lot of empty seats in the Public Council, and we would like to  attract new staff to our activities. There are also discussions  regarding the structure of the Public Council, and what kind of staff  should be involved for the most effective work of the structure," he  said.

He also noted that the dates of the meeting of the Public Council  should be planned and fixed in advance.  "Earlier, the dates were not  fixed, and I consider this an omission. Moreover, I also believe that  it is necessary to abandon the previous practice when the meeting  went on for 2-3 hours and during the last we did not have time to  discuss all the issues on the agenda. I would really like so that the  Public Council fulfills its true function, which is to interest the  government in really important and interesting initiatives for our  country, "Safaryan emphasized.
