ArmInfo. Armenian President Armen Sargsyan is on a working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to the press service of the President of Armenia, during the visit, the President of Armenia will meet with the top leadership of the UAE. The parties will focus on issues related to the development agenda of mutually beneficial relations. There will also be a discussion of the agreements reached during previous meetings.
The most important topics of President Sargsyan's meetings will be in the areas of energy, nanotechnology, food safety, as well as cooperation aimed at scientific and technological development within the framework of the ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow) initiative. The President of Armenia will take part in the authoritative international forum "Abu Dhabi Stability Week", where he will deliver a speech.
The Abu Dhabi Stability Week Forum has been held since 2008. This is a global platform bringing together heads of state, political figures, authoritative experts, scientists, and entrepreneurs to discuss global challenges to sustainable development and urgent issues. About 4,000 delegates from more than 175 countries, including heads of state and government, diplomats, political and public figures, and large entrepreneurs will take part in the opening of the forum. This year the forum will discuss issues of climate change and their consequences, energy, food safety, the use of innovations and biotechnologies in the field of health, artificial intelligence and youth. At different times, such authoritative figures as UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, King of the Netherlands Wilhelm-Alexander, ex-President of France Francois Hollande, Princess of Sweden Victoria and others spoke at the forum.
President Sargsyan will hold bilateral meetings to participate in the forum with presidents and heads of government of several countries, in particular, President of Indonesia Joko Vidodo, President of Rwanda Paul Kagame, Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabich and others.
