ArmInfo. The opposition is more active in the parliament of the seventh convocation, rather than in the parliaments of the previous convocations. This was stated by the head of the parliamentary faction "My Step" Lilit Makunts at a press conference on December 26.
Makunts informed that the parliament of the fifth convocation, which had 6 factions and worked from 2012 to 2017, adopted 1,422 laws and decisions, and the opposition initiated or co-authored 35 projects. The parliament of the sixth convocation, acting in the composition of 4 factions from 2017 to 2018, adopted 726 laws and decisions, and the opposition forces submitted 9 projects.
The current parliament, which began its work represented with three factions, adopted 367 laws and decisions, and the opposition presented 30 projects. "This shows that the opposition is more active in the current parliament than in the parliaments of the previous convocations," Makunts said, adding that the first draft law, which was discussed and adopted by the National Assembly in its current composition, was presented by opposition forces.
In total, <My Step> was the author or co-author of 103 bills, of which 37 were passed. In addition, about 250 bills were submitted by the Government.
Among the most important of the adopted laws, Makunts specifically noted the law on raising the minimum wage from 55 thousand drams to 68 thousand drams, as well as the law on criminal liability for participation in a criminal group.
