ArmInfo. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received US Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy December 2. U.S. Embassy's Deputy Chief of Mission Christopher Smith and USAID Mission Director in Armenia Deborah Grieser also attended the meeting.
According to the office of the Deputy Prime Minister, Grigoryan thanked the US government for the assistance provided in the implementation of the reforms initiated by the RA Cabinet of Ministers. Deputy Prime Minister noted the importance of cooperation with USAID, formed in a constructive atmosphere. Lynne Tracy, in turn, noted that the United States government supports the democratic and economic reforms of Armenia and the anti-corruption agenda. "Having increased US assistance to Armenia this year at a rate of 40%, we are ready to contribute to the implementation of these programs arising from the priorities of the Armenian government," the diplomat said.
The interlocutors discussed reforms in the field of justice and the police, touched upon the current tasks and the need for ideological reforms along with material and technical equipment.
