ArmInfo. A meeting of political directors of the foreign affairs agencies of the participating countries of the "Visegrad Four" took place at the Foreign Ministry of Armenia.
As the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo, the meeting was attended by: David Konecky (Czech Republic, which presides over the organization this year), Istvan Balogh (Hungary), Cyril Kozachevski (Poland), Matus Busovsky (Slovakia), as well as Advisor to the Armenian Foreign Minister Anna Aghajanyan, heads of several departments of the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
The purpose of the meeting, initiated by the "Visegrad Four", is to familiarize themselves with the process of reforms carried out in recent years in Armenia, with the priorities of the Armenian government in relations with the European Union and EU member states, as well as with the priorities of Armenia in the Eastern Partnership program. At the same time, the delegation of the four presented priorities and programs for 2019-2020.
Deputy Foreign Minister Avet Adonts also received the delegation of the "Visegrad Four". At the meeting he spoke about the RA foreign policy priorities, the current stage of relations between Armenia and the European Union, as well as the prospects for Armenia-EU relations, He also reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to maximize and expand cooperation with the EU in areas of mutual interest. In turn, members of the delegation welcomed the ongoing reforms in Armenia and pointed out the importance of the consistent strengthening of Armenia-EU relations, confirming their full cooperation in this matter.
