ArmInfo. The premium fund of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia for 2020 will be increased by 800 million drams to reach 5.8 billion drams compared to 2019. This was stated by head of the department David Ananyan on November 4 in an interview with reporters.According to him, everyone deserves to receive decent wages.
The value of this salary, as Ananyan pointed out, is determined by the subjective ideas of each individual. "In general, a decent income is that amount of salary, in the presence of which a person with an average income will refrain from corruption risks," he explained. As the chairman of the State Revenue Committee emphasized, even if the state decides to increase the minimum wage from the current 55 thousand to the planned 68 thousand drams, it cannot be considered "worthy" either. In this case, as Ananyan noted, one has to reckon with the available opportunities.According to David Ananyan, he fears the negativity that is forming in Armenian society towards high-income people, regardless of whether he is a government official or not. "There is a need for dialogue with society," he said.As the chief tax specialist emphasized, the level of his income before moving to the civil service was several times higher than the current one, and it will definitely exceed even after leaving the state apparatus. At the same time, the chief tax official called his current salary "worthy."
