ArmInfo. American Jewish Committee (AJC) and Anti- Defamation League, ADL) supported the Resolution on the Armenian Genocide (H.Res.296), which has been tabled in the US House of Representatives. ArmInfo was informed on this in the press service of the Armenian Assembly of America, which welcomed the actions of the two structures. The AAA expressed gratitude to Jewish organizations for their public support, stating that the Armenian and Jewish communities of the United States interact closely and they have a lot in common.
Meanwhile, according to the Armenian National Committee of America, today, October 29, at about 12:30 pm US time, the US House of Representatives will begin consideration of this bill, followed by a vote. As ArmInfo wrote earlier, for the first time in more than 30 years, the US House of Representatives intends to vote on the Resolution on the Armenian Genocide. According to ANCA, if the resolution is adopted, the process will inflict a powerful blow on the positions of Ankara, which until today has successfully applied the principle of "gag" to the Americans, to their honest desire to remind the world community of this crime. In total, more than 130 US senators and congressmen expressed support for this resolution.
