ArmInfo.. To date, the issue of organizing a summit between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan is not being considered. Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan announced this on October 28 at a joint press conference with Bulgarian Foreign Minister Yekaterina Zakharieva.
The Armenian diplomat stated that now the parties, with the assistance of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, are working on a meeting at the level of the heads of the foreign affairs agencies of Armenia and Azerbaijan, which in turn will serve as the basis for organizing a future summit.
At the same time, to clarify to journalists whether there is today a specific document around which the parties are working, Mnatsakanyan recalled that over the course of 27 years, many different documents have been submitted. "To date, negotiations are not conducted around a specific document. But I would like to note that the Prime Minister of Armenia has excellent knowledge of the conflict, he studies in detail all the documents that have been proposed so far and are exploring possibilities for a full resolution of the conflict peacefully, and where the security of Artsakh's population and its status will become the cornerstone, "the Armenian minister said.
