ArmInfo. Director of the Multi Group Concern Sedrak Arustamyan does not recognize the charge against him. In an interview with reporters on October 25, he stated that he was an honest man and had not committed offenses. "I'm sure that the court will make the right decision," he said.
It should be noted that today in the Criminal Court of Appeal the petition of the prosecutor's office against the release of Arustamyan on bail was considered. The judgment will be delivered on Monday, on October 28.
To recall, in the framework of the preliminary investigation in the criminal case instituted over the abuses committed during the implementation of the North-South road corridor construction program, the executive director of the Multi Group Concern was detained on charges of financial fraud. The total amount of written-off funds of unpaid taxes, together with fines, is 2.733.171.489 drams. The charge was also brought against the two coordinators of work at "Stone" company Suren Avakyan and Gurgen Sargsyan. As a preventive measure against the three defendants in the case, the court chosed an arrest. However, yesterday it became known that Sedrak Arustamyan was released on bail in the amount of 20 million drams, and Suren Avakyan and Gurgen Sargsyan were released on bail in the amount of 10 million drams. In total, 15 accused are in the case.
It should be noted that the Multi Group Concern belongs to Gagik Tsartskyan, a well-known Armenian entrepreneur, leader of the Prosperous Armenia party and the same-name faction of the RA National Assembly.
