ArmInfo.Armenia expresses condolences and support to the people of Japan in connection with the natural disaster in the country. Official representative of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Anna Naghdalyan announced this on October 14 during a briefing in Yerevan.
At the same time, she expressed condolences to the families and friends of the victims, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 occurred on October 12 in central Japan. According to the country's National Meteorological Administration, the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Pacific Ocean east of Chiba Prefecture, and the focus lay at a depth of 80 km. 40 people became victims of the typhoon Hagibis in Japan, 16 are reported missing. 30 thousand inhabitants cannot return to their homes, 189 people suffered during the disaster.
