ArmInfo. The magic of Belarus is presented in the spacious vestibules of the underground stations of the Yerevan Metro through the illustrations of BelTA photographers at the 1st Armenian International Photo Festival.
According to RG, photographers from 20 countries participate in this unique exhibition, including from Belarus, Denmark, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, the USA, France, Japan and Switzerland. The scale of the festival is proportional to the underground labyrinths of the Yerevan subway. Tablets with photographs of exhibitors are displayed in 39 pavilions: in Zvartnots airport, the residence of the president, in the Museum of Hovhannes Tumanyan, at two stations of the Yerevan Metro and in a number of other buildings.
In particular, the photos by Belarusian journalists are exhibited at the Marshal Baghramyan metro station. According to the CEO of the agency Irina Akulovich, this has its own deep symbolism. After all, the name of the famous Marshal of the Great Victory is well known in Belarus. "This commander has done a lot to liberate our country," she said.
According to the Armenian Ambassador to Belarus Armen Ghevondyan, such festivals expand the spiritual space of the audience. They emphasize a deep historical connection with the cultural traditions inherent in every nation. The exhibition of Belarusian photographs, the diplomat is convinced, gives people the opportunity to get acquainted with Belarus for the first time to feel, on the one hand, the identity and diversity of the Belarusian culture, and on the other, to feel how much common are the history and culture of the two Orthodox peoples.
His colleague, Ambassador of Belarus to Armenia Igor Nazaruk, agrees with this statement. According to him, the significance of the exhibition lies in the fact that it provided another opportunity to experience the features of the spiritual world of Belarusians, their culture and national traditions.
