ArmInfo.On April 5, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received Andreas Voskuhle, Chairman of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany.
During the meeting, Nikol Pashinyan noted that the Armenian-German relations received a new impetus, as evidenced by periodic mutual visits and high-level meetings, the press service of the RA government reports.
The head of the Armenian government also stressed the importance of the ratification by the Bundestag of the agreement between Armenia and the European Union "On Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership", which will be a signal to other EU countries. Speaking about the Armenian-German cooperation in the legal field, the Prime Minister noted that fundamental political changes are taking place in Armenia, based on the idea of the rule of law and the institutional deepening of democracy. In this context, Nikol Pashinyan stressed the importance of the reform of the judicial and legal system using the experience of leading countries, including Germany. Andreas Vo?kuhle, Chairman of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany, noted Germany is following with satisfaction the processes taking place in Armenia and is ready to assist the country in the development of democracy.
He stressed the important role of the Constitutional Courts in the successful implementation of reforms of the judicial system. The interlocutors discussed issues related to the further strengthening of bilateral legal cooperation, confirmed their readiness to continue cooperation in the established effective cooperation in this direction. The parties also exchanged views on the management of the parliamentary system.
