Chairman of the Commission on Television and Radio of Armenia Tigran Hakobyan received the regional director of the US Agency for Global Media Adam Gartner and Chief of the Armenian Service of Voice of America Inesa Mkhitaryan. According to the press service of the commission, during the meeting various options for cooperation were discussed.
Adam Gartner noted that he had arrived in Armenia to study the Armenian media field in detail. He stressed that the radical changes being carried out in the country create the basis for mutually beneficial cooperation.
Tigran Hakobyan, welcoming the willingness of Global Media to cooperate, noted that the solution of the problems which Armenian broadcasters face today, will be more effective if the activities of the US regulator and US legal regulations are studied.
The parties decided to develop joint programs for conducting seminars and courses with the participation of American specialists.
