ArmInfo.Azerbaijan purchased from Belarus a 7A0917 "Lecturer" portable artillery fire control system.
According to Interfax-Azerbaijan, citing the AzeriDefence Azerbaijani military news site, the new complex adopted by the Azerbaijani army was launched during large-scale exercises of the Azerbaijani army held in March of this year.
<The complex has three levels of management. A battery commander, a senior battery officer, and a crew commander can use them. The complex includes a tablet computer, a pocket computer, radio stations, a reconnaissance device and an automatic weather station. These devices in different sets represent three levels of control. With the help of the complex, you can collect and store data, solve design and information tasks. All the components of the complex, except the weather station, were developed in Belarus, "the source said, adding that" Lecturer "was first shown at IDEX-2019 exhibition in Abu Dhabi in February of this year.
According to the manufacturer, the tests of the complex are completed. To note, Belarus has been selling weapons to Azerbaijan for years. Last summer, Baku received ten Polonez rocket complexes. This caused a scandal in the relations of Minsk and Yerevan. The Armenian Foreign Ministry stated that Yerevan "cannot treat the sale of arms to Azerbaijan as an exclusively business deal."
Weeks earlier, it was reported that Azerbaijan supplied Groza-S complexes produced in Belarus. During the visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Belarus last fall, Minsk and Baku signed new defense contracts.
