ArmInfo. The delegation headed by the Speaker of the Artsakh Parliament Ashot Gulyan took part in the forum "Armenophobia: Historical and Contemporary Manifestations" held in the European Parliament.
The event was organized by the efforts of the European Bureau "Hay Dat" and the Tufenkian Foundation, with the assistance of MEP Eleni Teoharus. The press service of the NKR parliament told ArmInfo that Gulian in his speech noted the importance of organizing such events within the walls of the European Parliament, which is a stronghold of democracy and solidarity not only for Europeans, but also people from all over the world.
Speaking about xenophobia, the speaker of the Artsakh parliament expressed his conviction about the need to jointly combat this challenge, which poses a threat to modern humanity. At the same time, Gulyan urged everyone to visit Artsakh and to get acquainted with the situation in the republic. In conclusion, he expressed the conviction that such events contribute to the identification of phenomena that impede the development of human values. The event was attended by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Artsakh Armine Aleksanyan, ombudsman Artak Beglaryan, a number of experts.
