ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is expects the official visit of the Russian president to Yerevan, and also to his own - to Moscow, the head of the Armenian government said, the TASS reports.
"This year we will meet several times, for example, on the margins of the summit of the Eurasian Economic Union. In addition, I hope that this year Mr. Vladimir [Putin] will make an official visit to Yerevan and I to Moscow," he said. According to Pashinyan, the parties are currently discussing the date of the visits. "No [there are exact dates], we are now discussing specific dates. The last discussion was a week ago: I spoke on the phone with the Russian president; we discussed this issue during the conversation. And our administrations are discussing it now," he explained. In addition, Pashinyan plans to meet soon with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
"And not only meetings with the Russian president are scheduled, but also with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev," he said. In connection with this, the Armenian Prime Minister recalled that on April 29 in Yerevan an intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will be held. All the Prime Ministers of the EEU countries, including Dmitry Medvedev, are expected to arrive there, Pashinyan added.
To recall, on September 8 in Moscow, talks were held between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. After their graduation, Nikol Pashinyan stated that he had invited the Russian leader to Yerevan and expects that he will visit Armenia with an official visit in the near future. Already on September 13, 2018, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov announced the official visit of Vladimir Putin to Armenia. Then he indicated that the exact date of the trip has not yet been determined. "The dates will be agreed," said Dmitry Peskov. Meanwhile, information was spread in the media that the deadline for the visit of the head of the Russian Federation was January 2019.
