ArmInfo.As a result of inspections in the sector of subsoil use for 2013-2916, the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia revealed that as of January 1, 2018, 60 business entities in the area of state duties had a debt to the state in the amount of 300 million drams.
37 of these economic entities were declared bankrupt. The process of bankruptcy recognition of 3 more business entities are under consideration. Three more business entities were liquidated due to debts.
It is noteworthy that not a single business entity that has debts to the state, despite the requirement of the law, has been deprived of a license for subsoil use. As regards the restoration payments, 308 economic entities owed the state 523 million drams. As a result of the measures taken, 93.5 million drams were restored to the budget in terms of state duty debts, and 191 million drams in the area of rehabilitation payments. Another three million were paid for monitoring. As a result of inspections, business entities also fulfilled their social obligations to the communities in which the mines they operate are located. In general, social programs were implemented in the amount of 183 million drams. In respect of 35 business entities, petitions have been submitted for the termination of the right to subsoil use.
In total, 470 million drams were recovered from 1 billion of state debt in the sector of subsoil use. Work is underway to restore the rest of the damage.
