Several criminal cases were also instituted against the sons of A. Sargsyan and another brother of the ex- president, Levon Sargsyan. On February 21, in a conversation with journalists, the head of the National Security Service Arthur Vanceyan stated that the special service would soon complete the preliminary investigation in the criminal case against Alexander Sargsyan, after which the fate of those $ 30 million that were arrested on July 9, 2018 would be known . Earlier, the government's press service reported that within the framework of various criminal cases and investigative actions initiated against Alexander Azatovich Sargsyan, the latter voluntarily donated to the state an amount equivalent to $ 18.5 million. The remaining $ 11.5 million, according to Vanetsyan, should be transferred to Sargsyan's tax debt after the investigation is completed.
