The department reminded that on February 24 at 2:30pm a VAZ-2107 car was taken out of the "Tavush" reservoir near the Berd-Aygepar road, which was driven by a soldier of the RA Defense Ministry Armen Grigoryan. Life of solider could not be saved. Grigoryan was not on execution. "The Sixth Garrison Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia takes all the necessary measures for a comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of the incident," the IC informed.
According to media reports, the car drove off the roadway, crashed into reinforced concrete fences and fell into the reservoir at about 2:00 pm local time.
