ArmInfo. Armenian Ambassador to Lithuania Tigran Mkrtchyan on January 30 in the embassy received the Ambassador at Large, Special Coordinator for Eastern Partnership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Simonas Satunas.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, at the beginning of the meeting, Satunas noted that he would soon visit Armenia as part of the delegation of the group of ambassadors of the Eastern Partnership countries, adding that he intends to use the visit to deepen bilateral ties between Armenia and Lithuania. And also to discuss the areas of assistance to Armenia by Lithuania. Simonas Satunas noted that Lithuania is impressed by the democratic processes in Armenia and is ready to assist in carrying out reforms in a number of areas, including justice, education, renewable energy sources and professional training.
In turn, Ambassador Mkrtchyan presented the process of ratification of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the EU and the process of implementing a number of its provisions by EU member states. The Ambassador also noted that Lithuania can share its positive experience in politics, women's participation in the management system, as well as in the use of digital technologies in agriculture
