ArmInfo. On January 14, the National Assembly of Armenia elected Ararat Mirzoyan as head of the Armenian parliament.
According to the chairman of the counting commission of the National Assembly of Armenia Vahagn Hovakimyan 132 MPs took part in the secret ballot. 131 MPs voted for the candidacy of Ararat Mirzoyan; one ballot was declared invalid. Thus, Ararat Mirzoyan was elected unanimously chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

October, 2012 - February, 2013 - Lecturer of the YSU (Yerevan State University). 2013 - 2015 - Head of the research group of the "Aurora and 100 Lives" initiative of the "Development Initiatives of Armenia" Foundation (IDEA). 2014 - 2017 - Expert on political parties and strategic planning of the Netherlands Institute for Multi-Party Democracy (NIMD). Founding member of the "Civil Contract" party. 2016 - Member of the Board of the party. April 2, 2017 - Elected Member of the National Assembly from the territorial electoral list of the electoral district #3 of the "Way Out" alliance of parties. 2016 - Awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Defense Ministry of the Republic of Armenia.
