ArmInfo. Minister of Diaspora Mkhitar Hayrapetyan shares the concerns of his staff over the abolition of the department. According to Hayrapetyan, who intends to head the committee on science and education in the new parliament, the government's decision says nothing about which department will specifically be entrusted with the functions of the Ministry of Diaspora.
"I conveyed this concern to our political team. I share the concern of my employees," the minister assured, saying that the department's employees had transmitted to the Ministry of Justice their proposals and concerns.
At the same time, he expressed confidence that the draft law on amending the law on the structure of the government would make appropriate adjustments based not on the concern of both the Ministry of Diaspora staff and other abolishing departments.
At the same time, he predicted that Ministry of Diaspora will be restructured into a department. To note, the government intends to reduce the number of ministries from 17 to 12.
