According to the press service of the Ministry of Healthcare of Armenia, according to laboratory research data, today the growth of influenza A of the H1N1 type is mainly observed in the republic. This type of flu is most common for at-risk groups - children, pregnant women, people suffering from chronic diseases, etc. The results of studies conducted among hospitalized people indicate a late request for medical help. The flu, being an infectious disease, can wear both mild and severe clinical forms. "Therefore, even in the case of first symptoms of flu, you should immediately consult a doctor, as in the case of late treatment or refusal of medical care, there may be many complications, including the development of pulmonary tuberculosis, the emergence of risks of serious diseases," the ministry said. .
At the same time, the department carries out preventive vaccinations for persons at risk - children aged 6 months to 5 years, pregnant women, orphans, elderly people over 65, and people suffering from serious chronic diseases. The risk groups also include primary health care personnel.
Taking into account the above the Ministry of Healthcare calls on those at risk for vaccination against influenza.
