President of National Instruments company James Truchard, , who won the State Prize of the Republic of Armenia for his global contribution to the field of information technology, said this to the RA Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
According to him, given by the press service of the RA government, the authorities of the new Armenia have developed an agenda for the development of the sphere of information technologies. "I have decided to award you an award for global contribution to the field of information technology, which is not only a high assessment of your achievements, but also important from the point of view of how you can change the world with individual achievements. We hope that we can make Armenian citizens believe in your individual abilities and take measures to change the world. In this regard, you are a worthy example of imitation, and we want to present your example to our youth", Nikol Pashinyan stressed.
James Truchard thanked Acting Prime Minister for the high appreciation of his activities and stressed that he sees a great future in the field of high technologies in Armenia. He attached great importance to the development of the education system and the training of highly qualified personnel in the field of engineering. At the same time, James Truchard stressed that the company he heads is ready to deepen cooperation with Armenian partners and, thereby, contribute to further promotion of the sphere in the country.
In this context, the Acting Prime Minister touched upon the policies and visions of the RA Government on improving the business environment, attracting foreign investments, developing information technologies and other sectors of the economy.
To note, National Instruments has become the first international company to move to the Yerevan "Engineering City". The company has been operating in Armenia since 2007. It is mainly engaged in testing integrated circuits, as well as on communication technologies, including future 5G technology. National Instruments, together with the Enterprise Incubator Foundation and the National Polytechnic University, have created engineering laboratories on the territory of the latter, where students can gain knowledge and experience of an international level. These students become employees of both National Instruments and other companies working in the field of engineering and information technology.
