ArmInfo.Artsakh responded to Pashinyan's statement that the sons of the republic's presidents did not serve in the army.
David Babayan, Spokesperson of Artsakh President stated that the son of the current head of the republic, Bako Sahakyan, undertook compulsory military service in the Defense Army, and everyone is aware of this. "In Artsakh, the son of former President Arkady Ghukasyan also carried out military service. The sons of the Minister of Defense and other high-ranking officials also served in the army. I don't understand who Pashinyan meant in his statement", Babayan stated.
To note, during the rally in Alaverdi, referring to accusations regarding the compromise position on the Karabakh issue, Pashinyan said, "How can I have such sentiment if I sent my son to serve in Artsakh. I'm the only leader of Armenia, whose son serves in Artsakh. Even the sons of the Presidents of Artsakh did not serve there, and in general they did not serve in the army, "Pashinyan assured.
