ArmInfo.Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan disagreed with the criticism that he started the pre-election campaign ahead of time, using an administrative resource. Pashinyan said this in an interview with journalists during a detour of the construction site of the "Old Yerevan" project.
"Should I sit in my room so that they would not accuse me of using administrative resources? If I urge all citizens to vote for the" My Step "bloc, now - Do I use an administrative resource?!", Pashinyan said, adding that he had begun a political campaign in 2007 and continues to this day. He noted that the march scheduled for November 24 does not violate any law and international standards of political struggle. At the same time, Pashinyan is not going to take time off to participate in the election campaign. At the same time, he stressed that his political opponents in any case would accuse him of using his administrative resource. Referring to who will pass to the parliament after the elections, Pashinyan noted that the people will decide this, as well as who will be the power, who will be the opposition.
He also expressed surprise at the decision of the Republicans to campaign through the media, rather than face-to-face meetings with citizens. "I have always communicated with the people and will continue to do this," he said.
The Prime Minister also said that he will start the election campaign from Gyumri, from where he began his march in April of this year. Earlier, Pashinyan announced a march through the streets of Yerevan on Saturday - November 24, while the official start of the election campaign will be given on November 26. Meanwhile, when he was an oppositionist, he sharply criticized the authorities for such manifestations.
