ArmInfo. On November 23, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian received the head of the OSCE / ODIHR observation mission, Ambassador Urszula Gacek.
According to the presidential press service, Gacek presented to the president the activities of the mission in the short and long term, and noted that observers from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe would also join the mission.
The interlocutors noted the importance of the upcoming early elections, stressing the role of the future parliament in the development of the country.
In turn, President Sarkissian noted that democracy does not begin and end on Election Day, while noting that this is a constantly evolving and improving process that should be made irreversible. He stressed the importance of programs and projects aimed at strengthening a developed civil society and democratic institutions, and stressed the importance of cooperation with international partners and various structures in this direction.
