ArmInfo. The upcoming elections will be the best in the history of the third republic. This was announced from the rostrum of the parliament by Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, leader of the "My Step" bloc.
He assured that currently work is underway to exclude the dead people from the electoral lists. "To this end, for the first time in the entire history of elections, we are directly working with the funeral houses," he said. At the same time, Pashinyan noted that the legislation of the country does not provide an opportunity to clear the lists of those who left the country. "But in the future we will adopt a provision that will automatically exclude citizens who left the country from the lists, and then include them on arrival in Armenia," Pashinyan explained.
He also stated that all those who try to cast a shadow on the elections will be severely punished, including teachers and professors who, contrary to the law, will take part in election campaigning. Referring to the activities of the parliament of the 6th convocation, Pashinyan called it historical. "The peaceful nature of the revolution in Armenia was due to the efforts of all parties. And these events, as well as all the actors will enter history," the acting premier concluded.
