ArmInfo.Hrachya Harutyunyan, who was convicted in Russia and transferred to his homeland to serve his sentence, was released from Vardashen penal institution under an amnesty.
To recall, the truck, which was being driven by Harutyunyan, crashed into a passenger bus near Moscow on July 13, 2013. 18 people were killed. Troickiy Court of Moscow sentenced Harutyunyan to imprisonment for a period of 6 years, 9 months.
On July 20, 2017, he was taken to his homeland, where, in accordance with the European Convention on the Transfer of Convicts of 1983, he was serving the rest of his sentence.
