ArmInfo.The operative connection between Armenia and Azerbaijan, in the framework of the agreements reached in Dushanbe, has already been established and should be considered in the context of creating and strengthening the atmosphere of peace. The Spokesperson of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Anna Naghdalyan said this on October 24 at a briefing.
To recall, on October 18 Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated that the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border and on the Line of Contact of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani troops is unprecedentedly calm. According to him, this is the result of the agreements reached with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Dushanbe.
At the same time, Pashinyan informed that between Armenia and Azerbaijan, in the framework of the agreements reached in Dushanbe, a stable operative connection has already been established. "We are in direct contact, if necessary, the situation is reported to me and Aliyev," the acting Prime Minister of Armenia concluded.
To note, on the sidelines of the CIS Summit in Dushanbe, a conversation took place between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The sides expressed their commitment to negotiations on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, strengthening the cease- fire regime to prevent incidents on the Line of Contact of troops and on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The parties also decided to develop mechanisms for establishing operational communication between the relevant structures.
