ArmInfo. Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, in New York on the margins of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, met with the Assistant Secretary General and Executive Director of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Committee Michel Koninks.
As the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo, during the meeting the sides discussed international efforts to combat terrorism and the need for their further expansion and deepening, and in this context, the contribution of the Armenian side to these efforts.
The interlocutors exchanged views on UN Security Council Resolution 1540, and also current cooperation within other international documents.
Mnatsakanyan once again confirmed the commitment of Armenia to cooperate with international colleagues in the fight against terrorism, radicalism, xenophobia and the spread of hatred, while simultaneously encouraging ideas of tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
