ArmInfo. "I wish all rescuers have less work and more efficiency ", Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated in his congratulatory speech on the Day of Rescuers.
"It is very important to know, that there are professional rescuers and professional rescue system. I have already noted that after the changes that took place there should be respect to each employee in uniform and they should be perceived as relatives as only relatives help us in trouble",- stated the Prime Minister, emphasizing that rescuers of Ministry of Emergency Situations, (MES) as well as police and military should not interfere in political processes.
Then Nikol Pashinyan also touched upon problems related to wages in state institutions. "I know that there are many problems in MES. A few days ago I received a message from one citizen who works in the Ministry of Emergency Situations; he wrote that with such a salary he does not have the opportunity to live. I understand that such letters can be sent not only by the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, but also by police officers and employees of the Armed Forces. This is such a problem which we must solve all together. Today the wages in the state government system are rather low, as the financial funds are spent non- efficiently. I want to note that we should not improve our living conditions first and then think about efficiency in the country. We must act differently- increase efficiency of expenditure of state funds, after which the standards of living of working people will inevitably improve",- Pashinyan said, thanking the rescuers for their work.
