The forthcoming visit of the Prime Minister to Russia will be the third in a row after the change of power in Armenia. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan held talks in Sochi on May 14 at the summit of the heads of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. The next meeting took place on June 13 in Moscow - then Nikol Pashinyan attended the opening ceremony of the World Cup.
On September 1, Russian-Azerbaijani negotiations took place in Sochi. Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev, in particular, touched upon the Nagorno Karabakh conflict during the meeting.
