ArmInfo.Delegations of Azerbaijan and Ukraine attempted to politicize economic platform of the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation, BSEC during the meeting of Foreign Ministers' Council session in Yerevan.
As a high-ranking foreign diplomat told ArmInfo's correspondent the representative of the Azerbaijani delegation attempted to voice the problem of Karabakh settlement, while the representative of Ukrainian delegation made political accusations against Russia.
To note, the meeting of Foreign Ministers Council of BSEC was held in Yerevan on June 27. After the meeting the ceremony of transferring the chairmanship in the organization from Armenia to Azerbaijan took place.
To note, the chairmanship in the BSEC was transferred to Armenia in December 2017 from Ukraine. The BSEC includes 12 states of the Black Sea region. They were all represented at a meeting at the level of deputy ministers. Within the framework of the organization Armenia signed memorandums of understanding in the field of coordinated development of the ring highway around the Black Sea and mutual understanding on the facilitation of road freight forwarding in the Black Sea Economic Cooperation region. The abovementioned memorandums are intended to facilitate transportations in the Black Sea region, to simplify the processes of border crossing and to harmonize the transport sector of the BSEC member states.
