ArmInfo.Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan left for Brussels where he will take part in a meeting of heads of defense departments of the NATO member countries in Afghanistan "Strong Assistance" at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.
According to the press service of the Defense Ministry, during the meeting, the ministers of the member countries, as well as NATO partners will discuss the issues of security and stability in Afghanistan, will get acquainted with the views of the representatives of Afghanistan and NATO regarding the management of the current situation. As a result of the meeting, a common position of the NATO member countries in Afghanistan will be formed to overcome the existing problems. During the visit, the Armenian Defense Minister is scheduled to meet with NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller, Greek Defense Minister Panos Kammenos, with Deputy Secretary General of the European External Action Service Pedro Serrano, and others.
