ArmInfo.The delegation of the Council of Europe discussed with representatives of the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia issues related to strengthening measures to combat corruption. The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office told ArmInfo about this.
In preparation for the implementation of the second phase of the Partnership for a Good Governance (2019- 21) program to strengthen measures to prevent and combat economic crime, the Prosecutor General's Office was visited on June 4 by the Deputy Head of the Yerevan Office of the CE, Loreta Vioyou, and the working group of the Anti-Terrorism Department economic crimes of the Council of Europe.
The parties discussed the possibilities of joint development of a roadmap on the methodology for combating illicit enrichment, as well as issues related to improving the effectiveness of interaction between structures engaged in investigating crimes related to economic activity and corruption. The importance of studying the European experience in this field was stressed, as well as the exchange of experience with the law enforcement structures of the Republic of Armenia.
The tangible results of the long-term cooperation of the prosecutor's office with the CE office in Yerevan were assessed.
